Banff and Jasper National Parks
There is a reason millions of people come from around the world each year to visit Alberta. The Rocky Mountains are the crown jewels of the Canadian landscape, and home to Canada's first National Park: Banff
The Banff townsite is a 90 minute drive from the Artist’s Bed and Breakfast and Artist's Home. From there, there are hundreds of options available to you.
Do you want to hike? ski? visit a world class spa? From Banff, famous Lake Louise and Moraine Lake (once pictured on the Canadian twenty dollar bill) are a half an hour away. Some of the most beautiful scenery on earth is within your reach.
At the Artist’s Bed and Breakfast and Artist's Home we can help you organize your visit: we can offer suggestions for must see excursions, hikes, and restaurants. We can also recommend other Bed and Breakfasts, hotels and accommodations for your travels.
If you really want to do the Rockies right, you must seriously consider travelling to the town of Jasper along the Ice fields Parkway. This journey features one of the greatest, most awe-inspiring highways in North America, if not in the world.
If you want to visit Banff and Jasper, we have wonderful connections in both towns we can introduce you to...but you have to make reservations early, as they can be booked months in advance.
As you can see from the photos, Banff and Jasper are incredible. It is not unusual for travellers to land in Calgary, spend a night or two, then go off for at least one week in the mountains, finally returning to Calgary.
This is made easier knowing that Artist’s Bed and Breakfast and Artist's Home is located minutes from an Enterprise rent a car (which will save you hundreds of dollars in airport taxes)
Don’t worry, we’ll make sure you get to where you need to go...on time.
